Chapter Three

LEANDER

Having my best friend and crush take me on a dinner date to dine at my favorite celebrity chef’s hot new restaurant was a dream come true. The only way it could get better was if Kerrigan forgot to be straight for an evening and gave me the kiss of a lifetime when it was over. But since that wasn’t happening, I settled for enjoying the best food I had ever had the pleasure of eating.

Chef Niccolò de Rosa wasn’t all talk. Each bite from his tasting menu was an appropriately named foodgasm in the mouth. And knowing that Kerrigan was the reason why it was possible to enjoy the most delicious food in the world made it taste that much better. Between that and getting to watch my celebrity crush working his magic in the kitchen from afar, I was floating high on cloud nine.

Even though it had been three hours of decadent dishes, it still felt like it was over too soon as the espresso mousse torte was served. It was a small dome covered in a pink-and-red marbled mirror glaze with tempered chocolate tuiles on top. The dessert was almost too beautiful to eat. I took a ton of pictures from every angle before I dared to touch it with my spoon.

The first bite made me moan as I closed my eyes to savor the exquisite mix of flavors on my tongue. The espresso enhanced the chocolate while balancing the tartness of the raspberries. I understood why Chef Niccolò always referred to his cooking as “foodgasms” because the dish was so delicious that it made my dick hard.

I wanted to go into the bathroom to take care of myself, but I didn’t want to miss a single second of my culinary dining experience. Besides, I was pretty sure Kerrigan would notice my situation and tease me about it, so I’d have to wait until I was home alone later.

Instead, I focused on savoring the incredible dessert one small bite at a time. I wanted to do anything I could to make it last a little longer. “Kerrigan, I can’t thank you enough for bringing me here. This has been everything I dreamed about and more.”

His warm smile made me feel all fuzzy inside. “I’m glad it’s exceeded your expectations. That’s quite impressive, considering how lofty they were.”

“You knew Chef Niccolò’s food had to be amazing to justify his hard-ass critiques on Under Pressure.” I sighed happily as I took another satisfying bite. “Tonight can’t get any better than this.”

“Are you sure about that? Because he’s walking over here right now to see us.”

“Ha ha, very funny. I’m not falling for—” I cut myself off in shock when I saw that the Niccolò de Rosa was heading toward us with a dazzling smile. He looked dashing in his chef whites, with his chiseled cheekbones and dark hair that fell in front of his gold-colored eyes that always had a playfully mischievous sparkle in them.

When he reached our table, his magnificence up close was almost more than I could handle.
